Red Bull has had some struggles for the past few races. Sergio Perez, however, has been struggling for much longer. This season has not been good for him as he has been fighting his car from the beginning of the season. With Perez having consistent issues, he has not been placing as high as he should be and Christian Horner has some things to say about it.
Red Bull have dropped to second place in the World Constructors’ Championship. McLaren currently has two dominant drivers who have been scoring points all season. Red Bull, only has one. What does Red Bull need to get back to top form? Is Perez the only issue at Red Bull?
Christian Horner needs Sergio Perez to step it op
Despite already having Sergio Perez signed to Red Bull for 2025, Christian Horner is keeping his options open. Red Bull has been consistent with saying they will be keeping Perez at Red Bull for the rest of the season. With Ferrari only 8 points behind Red Bull, Horner needs Perez to step it up.

When talking to the media Horner said,
Perez cannot continue to be scoring little to no points for the team. He needs to show contribute more if Red Bull hopes to win the Championship.
Can Red Bull still win the Constructors?
Max Verstappen has been pulling all the weight at Red Bull this season. Even when his car was not in top shape and was having the same issues as Sergio Perez’s car, he still landed in the top 10. However, Sergio Perez has struggled with placing in the points consistently.

Should Red Bull have dropped Perez sooner? For Red Bull to win the Constructors’, they are going to need McLaren to make more mistakes. Also, Red Bull are now fighting Ferrari after their performance at Austin. With Liam Lawson moving from 19th to 9th, Perez now has two confirmed drivers going for his seat.
