Ranking All the F1 2025 liveries from Worst to Best

F1 75 Live was a chance for all the teams to show off their new 2025 liveries. The unprecedented event saw teams unveil their new-look cars in front of thousands of fans to celebrate 75 years of the sport.

Some teams showed off a new concept for their livery, while others stayed to their classic design. We take a look at whose 2025 liveries look the best and who failed to stand out.

10. Red Bull Racing – RB21

There is nothing specifically wrong with the Red Bull’s new 2025 livery. However, it just looks like all the other cars the Milton Keynes-based team have designed. It is still very distinctive with the blue background with the Red Bull but maybe it is time to mix it up with a few tweaks to make it more interesting. A possible improvement is adding a bit more blue to the primary colour. But maybe their saving that for when Ford joins them next year.

9. Williams – FW47

This Williams 2025 livery is very blue. There are different shades of blue but it looks very similar to last season’s colours. The car is like a blue canvas for the advertisers. It is a very simple-looking livery with a few added sponsors such as their new title sponsor, Atlassian. However, the Duracell sponsor still has the same charm as it did last year.

8. Sauber – C45

The 2024 livery for Sauber looked great. It integrated the lime green and carbon fibre well and was very imaginative. No car had looked like this before. The colour scheme has remained the same which is a good point. However, last season the colours were more integrated. This time around, it looks like a rather simple gradient that you would find as a preset in an F1 game.

7. Ferrari – SF-25

The shade of red used on the Ferrari looks good. It is darker than the last couple of years which makes it bolder. However, the Ferrari looked better with the use of black. This season, the Scuderia have added a white stripe over the engine cover and plastered the HP logo in the middle of it. The front and rear wings also have a lot of white in them. The livery has lost some of the edge from previous seasons.

Although the white stripe does bring back some earlier memories of Ferrari with Santander and Marlboro, the additional white on the front and rear wings do not blend well with the car. It kind of takes the focus away from the iconic Ferrari red.

6. Aston Martin – AMR25

The Aston Martin F1 livery looks very similar to the past couple of seasons. However, unlike Red Bull, the design looks smart. The racing green is always a joy to see and unlike Ferrari, has only a hint of white for their new sponsor, Madden. Despite looking very similar to last season, it still looks good. The one critique is the sidepods are mostly black with a small amount of green, unlike last season when it was mostly green.

5. McLaren – MCL39

Like Aston Martin, the 2025 McLaren livery is a similar design to last season’s livery except for the hint of blue around the cockpit. The papaya colour scheme is still prevalent and it looks good. However, after winning the Constructors Championship for the first time since 1998, McLaren could have landed something special. The design is good but it could have been better.

But we will most probably see McLaren bring some very attractive one-off liveries during the season. Last year we saw the return of the chrome livery and the special Senna livery in Monaco. So let’s see what they have in store for us this year.

4. Mercedes – W16

Mercedes‘ livery has always looked elegant. The silver and black mixture with the Petronas Blue trim on the Merc adds a touch of class to the grid. It is yet another good livery but again is very similar to previous designs. The 2024 livery on the Mercedes was one of the best and again this year, it is still up there.

3. Haas – VF25

This has to be one of the best Haas liveries in recent years. It looks smart with a great design. Haas are normally quite conservative with their liveries so it’s good to see they have flexed their muscles to produce a good livery. The only issue is the overload of sponsors on the front wing and nose. But we can’t blame them for that. They need to survive in Formula 1. However, the overall car looks good and will be a joy to watch under the lights in Bahrain.

2. Alpine – A525

The Alpine F1 car’s livery for 2024 needed much work. It had too much carbon fibre on show and there was barely any design on it. Fast forward to a year later and Alpine has one of the best 2025 liveries going. The blue and pink colour scheme works and if the car is as good as the livery, Alpine could have a strong season. This car could be a joy to watch under the floodlights.

1. Visa Cash App Racing Bulls – VCARB-02

The VCARB-02 has the best livery on the grid this season. The Red Bull sister team is known for their attractive livery designs. The VCARB‘s new livery is a massive upgrade on the 2024 livery. The white makes the car stand out from the rest. With shades of blue and the Red Bull logo added in, it works perfectly.

This livery also takes us back to the Turkish Grand Prix in 2021 where Red Bull had the special white livery on. This is easily the best-looking car on the grid.

Most of the F1 car’s liveries were very similar to the 2024 season. It was slightly underwhelming for such a major reveal event. The bright sparks were the Racing Bulls and Alpine cars whose designers created the best liveries. We will see the cars in action for the first time in pre-season testing on February 26th.
