Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement from F1 at the end of the 2022 season following a successful 15-year stint in the sport. The German won four consecutive world championships between 2010 to 2013 and has 53 wins to his name.
Since leaving the sport, Vettel has refused to rule out a return to the F1 paddock. The four-time world champion returned to the 2023 Japanese GP, where he built a hotel for bees. Buy now, the 37-year-old is in talks with his former team, Red Bull, over a possible return.

Sebastian Vettel says that the German is in talks with Helmut Marko over possibly replacing the Austrian as chief advisor. Marko’s contract expires at the end of the 2026 season, when he will be 84 years old. However, Vettel claims the talks are in very early stages.
Speaking to Austrian broadcaster ORF, Vettel said: “There have been some headlines, and I still get on really well with Helmut. We’re also in contact about this, though maybe not so intensively or in-depth yet, but it’s possible. What form that might take will have to be seen.

“He’s already said a few times that he’d stop, but he’s still here, and I wish him all the best so that he stays around for a very long time. But of course, eventually, time catches up with everyone, and I believe he knows that too. He’s a brutally realistic guy and is very good at sizing up situations. I think he’ll recognise when the time is right.”
Helmut Marko has been with Red Bull since the birth of the team in 2005. He has played an integral role in helping the team make decisions about driver lineups and the young driver program. The Austrian claims that it was his idea to suggest that Vettel replace him at Red Bull
Vettel enjoyed the peak of his career with Red Bull, winning all four of his championships with the Milton Keynes-based team. After leaving to join Ferrari, it looks as if Vettel still has a good relationship with Marko. But we are still far away from seeing if the German will return to F1.
