Good News for Fans as British GP Organizers Adjust Ticket Prices

Formula 1 has officially solidified the calendar for the 2025 season and with that, the announcement of the British Grand Prix. Next year, the 2025 GP will be held at the Silverstone Circuit from 3rd-6th of July.

The British GP is usually one of the more expensive grand prixes to go to. Fans and drivers alike have expressed their upset with the 2024 ticket prices. 7x World Driver Champion Lewis Hamilton weighed in saying “The only thing I would ever say is that we have to watch ticket prices. I think they’re continuing to rise, and the cost of living nowadays, I think it’s too high.” With higher-than-average race prices, many British fans opt to go to Europe instead of their backyard.

The race weekend will kick off on Thursday night with the opening concert. Fans all around the world have been waiting for the release of ticket information after an expensive 2024 season. The good news is – the wait was worth it! Ticket prices are starting lower this year.

British GP announces new ticket prices

For 2025, the organizers are looking to make a change. With the dates set in stone, ticket information has been released with some exciting news. Cheaper tickets and fixed prices.  The lowest price for the 3-day weekend starts at £269 for General Admission and goes up from there. Single-day tickets are also available to purchase (General Admission starts at £70 for Thursday, £99 for Friday, £149 for Saturday and £229 for Sunday). Not only are the tickets this year more affordable but Silverstone has also agreed to limit dynamic pricing.

Certain race areas will be opted out of dynamic pricing such as General Admission Plus, Farm Curve, and Lando’s Grandstands – Stowe A, B & C. The rest of the areas will not have fixed prices. But don’t let the term dynamic pricing throw you off. According to Silverstone, “some price categories did not change at all and 60% of fans booked lower than the average price for their selected ticket.”

Introduction of the Landostand + Ticket Releases

Okay, so the prices have changed. What else? For those who went last year, you might recall that you could bring 6 alcoholic drinks (cans only) in the circuit. However, in 2025, no outside alcohol will be allowed. You will still be allowed certain foods into the circuit as well as a 20L bag. Another big change will be the addition of the Landostand.

Norris will be receiving his own grandstand and taking over the entire Stowe area. Also, make sure to check your British GP ticket for extra add-ons. Some tickets come with a free pass to the Silverstone Museum. You can also add on Inner Track Access, Fast Track and Pitlane Walk Tickets (prices and booking information have not been released). Another thing to think about booking is your accommodation.

If you are thinking of camping, the camping & glamping sale starts on 20th September at 10 A.M. (BST) If you book with an official Silverstone campsite, that will get you early access to the presale for race tickets. The first wave of race ticket sales will start on Monday 23rd September for SRC ‘Full Circuit’ Members. The general sale will begin at 11 A.M. (BST) on Thursday, 26th September.
