On the day Formula 1 hosted its first-ever launch event featuring the entire grid, Visa Cash App RB stole the show with a stunning twist to its livery. Amidst the unexpected makeover that left the audiences in awe, VCARB CEO Peter Bayer has finally revealed the reason behind the decision.
The likes of Mercedes, Ferrari, Red Bull, Williams, Aston Martin, Stake F1 Team, Haas and McLaren stuck to the basics, carrying their 2024 livery into 2025 with little to no changes. Meanwhile, Alpine’s 2025 livery is a clear upgrade from its 2024 design, which received a lot of flak from the motorsport community.
However, it was Racing Bulls that left the entire O2 Arena speechless with a refreshing new look for its challenger. While the new look was a pleasant surprise for the audience and fans across the world, many wondered what caused VCARB to opt for this colour palette.
Why did Racing Bulls change its livery for 2025 F1 season?
Peter Bayer revealed that VCARB always planned to change its livery once it had established a strong partnership with its title sponsors, Visa and Cash App. With that goal achieved, VCARB’s livery change has come to fruition just in time for the 2025 season.

“In the space of a year, Visa and Cash App have established strong identities as our title partners. Therefore, together we felt comfortable in adopting a livery that moves us closer to the Red Bull mothership, with the prominent Red Bull logo on the engine cover,” Bayer said, following VCARB’s grand revelation at O2, London.
“This will open up a whole new dimension in activating the team with all the Red Bull markets around the world,” he concluded. A solid plan is in the works for the junior Red Bull outfit, but whether this will lead to a potential title charge in the future remains to be seen.
Visa Cash App RB gains inspiration from Red Bull for 2025 livery
Unlike last year, Blue is no longer the dominant colour of VCARB’s livery. Instead, it is all white with a blend of Red and Blue, mimicking the Red Bull brand. But, here’s something more interesting!

At first glance, Visa Cash App RB’s livery reminded everyone of Red Bull’s one-off livery for the 2021 Turkish Grand Prix – which was a tribute to its former engine supplier, Honda. The fans approved it then, and the fans have approved it now. Therefore, with a positive start to the year already, can VCARB deliver something spectacular on the track this season?
